Indigenous Leadership, Pastoralist Community, Kenya – Legado

In collaboration with Legado, their methodology was adapted to design and implement community outreach workshops for pastoralist Indigenous peoples in Wamba, Kenya. These workshops fostered participatory understanding of community well-being needs, encouraged knowledge exchange, revived ancestral values, and strengthened connection to their territory amid climate change challenges.

The approach was tailored for a largely non-literate audience, using visual tools, oral storytelling, and experiential dynamics. During the consultancy, local trainers were trained to replicate the workshops, promoting community leadership rooted in cultural identity and focused on conserving their lands and vital resources like water and agriculture in the face of climate impacts.
