Community Engagement – Fish Forever, RARE

In 2025, during a consultancy with the Fish Forever team at Rare, we designed a community outreach intervention to engage new communities and regions in the Bahamas. Working closely with local stakeholders and fishing communities, we identified motivations, barriers, and opportunities to implement collaborative fisheries management.

Together with Rare, we co-created culturally adapted question guides aimed at exploring traditional practices, local knowledge, and spatial-temporal management dynamics. These tools facilitated a respectful and effective approach to the audience, laying the foundation for a long-term intervention focused on a sustainable future for fishing communities.
